Remember 9/11

I expect that most people will remember that tragic day for the rest of their lives, I know that I certainly will. The families and friends of the almost three thousand souls who sadly lost their lives during that terrible and unprovoked attack. Added to that are the hundreds of injured and those who still suffer from the aftermath some fourteen years later.

The world has never been and will never be the same again.

I was at work in the U.K. on that day and someone called for us to come quickly to see what was going on on the small portable TV which we had in the rest room. All the staff gathered around and work ceased as the events unfolded before disbelieving eyes.

I’ve never been to New York but a visit is added to my ‘Bucket List’ so that I can visit Ground Zero and pay my respects to the thousands of innocent, ordinary people who were killed and injured that day.

I salute you.
